Terms of Use

Effective date: September 1, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and George Tharian ("we", "us") for the use of Eve. By using Eve you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the app.

We have written these in plain English. Where a term has a specific legal meaning we have said so rather than hiding it in capital letters.

1. What Eve is

Eve is an AI accountability coach. She helps you clarify what you want, turn it into specific commitments, and follow through — by remembering what you said, checking in afterwards, and asking about it when you go quiet.

Eve is an artificial intelligence, not a human being. Her responses are generated by a language model. She has no life outside your conversation, and she will tell you so if you ask.

2. What Eve is not

Eve does not provide therapy, counselling, psychotherapy, medical care, mental-health treatment, legal advice, or financial or investment advice. She does not diagnose or treat any condition. She is not a licensed professional of any kind and is not supervised by one.

Conversations with Eve are not confidential in the legal sense. There is no therapist-patient, doctor-patient, or attorney-client privilege. Do not treat a conversation with Eve as a protected disclosure.

Eve is not a crisis or emergency service. If you are in crisis, contact 988 (US Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), text HOME to 741741, or call 911. Our Crisis Response Protocol describes what Eve does when someone tells her they are struggling, and what it cannot do.

Eve does not act on your behalf. She does not browse the web, send email, read your calendar, make purchases, or take actions in the world. She coaches; you act.

3. You must be 18

Eve is for adults. By using it you confirm you are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly permit anyone under 18 to use Eve, and we will terminate accounts we learn belong to minors. Accounts we learn belong to anyone under 13 are deleted immediately along with all associated data.

4. Your account

You sign in with Apple. You are responsible for keeping access to your Apple ID secure. Do not share your account. One account per person. Everything done through your account is treated as done by you.

5. Acceptable use

Use Eve for your own coaching. Do not:

• Use it for anything illegal, or to plan harm to yourself or anyone else.
• Impersonate someone else, or create an account for another person without their knowledge.
• Attempt to extract our prompts, reverse-engineer the service, or probe its security.
• Automate, scrape, resell, or redistribute access.
• Deliberately try to make Eve produce harmful content or bypass her safety behaviour.
• Upload malware, or content you have no right to share.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules. Where circumstances allow, we will tell you why.

6. Your content

What you write stays yours. You keep all rights to your messages, goals, and everything else you put into Eve.

You grant us only the permission needed to run the service: to store your content, process it, and send it to the AI providers listed in our Privacy Policy so Eve can respond. That permission exists to operate Eve for you and for nothing else.

We do not use your content to train AI models, and neither do our providers. We do not sell it, and we do not share it for advertising.

You are responsible for what you put in. Please do not share other people's private information without their agreement.

7. Eve's responses

Eve's responses are generated by an AI model and may be wrong. She may misremember, misread a situation, or state something with confidence that is not accurate. Treat what she says as one input to your thinking, not as fact and not as professional advice.

Decisions you make are yours. We are not responsible for outcomes from acting on anything Eve says. If a decision has real consequences — health, money, legal, or safety — consult a qualified professional.

8. Subscriptions and billing

Eve is a paid subscription sold through Apple's App Store.

• Free trial. A free trial may be offered on some plans; its exact length is shown on the purchase screen before you subscribe. A trial converts to a paid subscription automatically at the end unless you cancel.
• Auto-renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price, and continues until cancelled.
• When you are charged. Apple charges your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase, and for each renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
• How to cancel. Cancel any time in your Apple ID subscription settings, at least 24 hours before the period ends. The app links you there directly. Only Apple can cancel it — we cannot cancel on your behalf.
• Cancelling keeps your access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
• Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. These are separate systems. Delete your account and you will still be billed unless you also cancel with Apple.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under their policies, not by us. Request them at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Price changes will be notified in advance and require your consent where Apple's rules or the law demand it.
• Usage limits. Subscriptions include a daily message allowance, shown in the app. Fair-use limits protect the service's viability. Crisis responses are never subject to any usage limit.

The exact price, period, and trial length are shown before you purchase and again in the App Store.

9. Availability

We aim to keep Eve running but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Eve depends on third-party providers, and their outages will sometimes be ours. We may modify or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give reasonable notice and a way to retrieve your data.

10. Ending the agreement

You may stop at any time: cancel with Apple, and delete your account in Settings if you want your data gone.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you break these terms, if we are legally required to, or if we discontinue the service. Except where you have breached these terms, we will give reasonable notice.

When your account is deleted, your data is deleted. We cannot restore it afterwards.

11. Disclaimers

Eve is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that Eve will meet your requirements, that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that her responses will be accurate.

We make no promises about results. Eve is a coaching tool. Whether anything changes in your life depends on what you do.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of Eve.

Our total liability for any claim relating to Eve will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) fifty US dollars.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, where the law does not permit that exclusion.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of Eve, your breach of these terms, or your violation of anyone else's rights.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be brought in the courts of that jurisdiction.

Before filing anything, please email us at support@geteve.coach. Most problems can be solved by a person reading your message.

Nothing here prevents you from bringing a complaint to a government agency or consumer-protection authority.

15. Apple

These required terms apply because Eve is distributed through the App Store:

• This agreement is between you and us, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for Eve or its content.
• Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for Eve.
• If Eve fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for Eve.
• Apple is not responsible for addressing claims relating to Eve, including product liability, legal or regulatory non-compliance, or consumer protection claims.
• If a third party claims Eve infringes their intellectual property, we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating and resolving it.
• You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as terrorist-supporting, and are not on any US Government prohibited-party list.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

16. General

If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer this agreement; we may transfer it as part of a sale of the business.

These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us regarding Eve.

17. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified in the app before taking effect, and the effective date above will change. Continuing to use Eve after that means you accept the update.
